Mrs. Amanda Tafoya
This year is such an exciting year for Notre Dame school, a new Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program and I am so excited to be able to come alongside the wonderful staff here and make this into a reality! I am so happy to return to teaching within the Sacramento Diocese, after having taught in public school for the last few years. Catholic education is something that holds a special place in my heart, the values it instills in children are values that I hold closest to my heart as well.
I am happy to join the Notre Dame family and teach the first year of their Transitional Kindergarten program. I have been teaching in the early childhood field for the last 12 years, including time at Holy Rosary Parish School in Woodland, where my family and I live. I hold my Associates degree in Early childhood education and hold a credential for teaching preschool from the CA credentialing agency. Most recently I have attended the University of Phoenix where I worked to complete my Bachelors in Liberal Science and continue to work on my CA multiple subject teaching credential. Thank you for sharing your littlest ones with me this year and I can not wait to see how they grow and learn and begin to develop a love for Jesus and school!
