My name is Stephanie Pacheco. This is my first year at Notre Dame School. I am the Kindergarten teacher. I taught K at a Catholic school in Illinois for the last seven years, and I taught preschool for twelve years before that.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from National-Louis University in Chicago. I also began an on-line Masters program in Differentiated Instruction at Concordia University, also out of Chicago. I have my Illinois state teaching credential.
This year in kindergarten, we will be gaining essential reading skills by putting together letter sounds and learning sight words! We will also have a strong foundation set in math with an solid understanding of numbers and strategies to use when problem solving. While learning these academic skills, we will also figure out how to take the little light that God gave each of us and shine it brightly to others!
In the little spare time I have, I love to read (Harry Potter books!!!) and listen to music (my current number one is Hamilton the musical!). My favorite thing in the world to do is to spend time with my five children and my husband. We are so excited to be living back in California and finding out what God has in store for us!!
