Principal's Message

Reverence. Respect. Responsibility. These are the three Schoolwide Learning Expectations at Notre Dame School, and they form the foundation for everything we do. As the principal of the school, I am blessed with the opportunity to see these expectations lived out daily in all kinds of places—in our classrooms, outside at recess, our weekly Masses, and beyond. In addition to these expectations, we also give our students the tools they need to succeed in academics—meeting and exceeding the California Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards. Ultimately, we focus on the child as a whole, which means they are also instructed in areas like spirituality, personal habits, social skills, and citizenship. It is important to us that students graduate 8th grade prepared not only for high school, but also for college and their lives beyond.

Our phenomenal staff is supported by a tight-knit community made up of parents and the parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Catholic Church here in Vacaville. We are also blessed by the presence of four solid priests, two from each parish, who regularly visit the students, bringing spiritual wisdom, pastoral guidance, and even some basketball skills. With this strong community behind us, students are set up for success in both their academic and spiritual lives.

I encourage you to consider what Notre Dame can offer your child. If you are searching for a place that offers solid education alongside spiritual and personal growth, look no further. We would love to meet you and show you what it means to be a part of the Notre Dame family.
