Principal's Message

Reverence. Respect. Responsibility. These are the three Schoolwide Learning Expectations at Notre Dame School, and they form the foundation for everything we do. As the principal of the school, I am blessed with the opportunity to see these expectations lived out daily in all kinds of places—in our classrooms, outside at recess, our daily Masses, our many extra curricular activities, and beyond. In addition to these expectations, we also give our students the tools they need to succeed in academics—meeting and exceeding the California Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards. Notre Dame School educates the child as a whole. Our students are not only encouraged to excel in the area of academics but in all areas of life, including spirituality, social skills, and citizenship.

Our phenomenal staff is supported by a tight-knit community made up of parents and the parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Catholic Church here in Vacaville. We are also blessed by the presence of our priests, two from each parish, who share their spiritual wisdom and guidance with us. With this strong community behind us, students are set up for success in both their academic and spiritual lives for high school and beyond.

I encourage you to consider what Notre Dame can offer your child. If you are searching for a place that offers an outstanding education paired with a strong community feel, Notre Dame is the school for you. We would love to meet you and show you what it means to be a part of our Notre Dame family.

Meghann Bauer, Principal
