My name is Amanda Caldwell, and I am 46 years old. I was born and raised as a third-generation Napa native, where I grew up on a dairy farm with my family. As a member of 4-H, from elementary until I was 19 years, I showed beef cows and sheep and honed my work ethic at a young age. I recently graduated Summa cum laude from the University of Phoenix. I have been a 1^st grade teacher at Notre Dame School in Vacaville for the past 4 years.

I'm a mother of two determined boys myself: Logan, 15, and Hunter, 13. They both keep my husband and I very busy with their sports, football, and baseball. My husband, Mitchell, is currently a Firefighter Captain for the City of Napa and has served as a firefighter for over 20 years. We live in Vacaville on 25 acres; great for our boys to roam and for us to raise our two cows, 2 dogs, and 1 cat. In our spare time, we enjoy spending time with family and friends, camping, hiking, traveling for sports and I love reading. We take our beloved dogs, Olive (11-year-old black lab) and Coco (4-year-old rescue mutt) with us wherever we go.

I have enjoyed working with children all of my young adult and adult life. When my oldest started Kindergarten in 2015 I realized it was my true calling to be a teacher. I graduated from the University of Phoenix so that I could follow that dream. Being a teacher for the past 4 years and providing structured lessons, evaluating student progress, grading assignments and creating a positive social, emotional and learning environment truly is a blessing.
