Notre Dame School offers two levels of Robotics in our after school club. Students in grades 5-8 are welcome to join a hands-on Robotics training held weekly from January through May. Students learn the math and science in how to engineer basic robots.
In August- November a competitive team called the NDS iBots prepare for and enter robotic competitions! We are a team who works together with Gracious Professionalism to design and build robots. Using legos and machinery we design and build a competitive robot.
Two components to the competition...
The Research Project
Teams conduct research to solve a real-world problem, develop an innovative solution and present and share their work at the competition and within their communities.
The Robot Game
Teams design, build and program autonomous LEGO robots to achieve specific missions and compete in three 2.5 minute performance rounds at competitions.
