Mrs. Lisa Whitehouse , Transitional Kindergarten Teacher
My name is Lisa Whitehouse and I am team-teaching the Transitional Kindergarten class. I began teaching preschool while attending college and continued for six years. I returned to teaching when my son (who is a Notre Dame graduate) entered college. This will be my fourth year working with the TK program here at Notre Dame. I understand how important it is to give children the opportunity to develop and learn over a longer period of time before they enter kindergarten. I look forward to creating an environment that allows the children to grow the social and emotional skills that are necessary to be successful students.
Mrs. Julie Denton , Transitional Kindergarten Teacher
Hi! I am Julie Denton. I was born and raised in rural Michigan. After college I moved to Vacaville and have called this home ever since. My husband and I have been members of St. Joseph’s Parish since it’s inception. We have three adult daughters that went K-8 at Notre Dame. I am entering my twentieth year of teaching and my sixth here at Notre Dame. I absolutely love working with young children and feel that it is my privilege to help them start the journey of life long learning. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family boating, hiking and riding bikes. I also enjoy reading and cooking!
