Ms. Emily Case
My name is Emily Case and I am a product and alumni of this wonderful school. I was fortunate to attend Notre Dame as a child, graduating in 2007. After graduating from Vacaville High School, I attended San Diego State University, where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Child Development and a specialized graduate certificate in Socio-Emotional Behavior Regulation and Intervention. Currently, I am working on my Masters in Education. Here at NDS, I was the 4th through 8th-grade Educational Achievement Specialist teacher and Extension Director for a year before moving to 5th Grade. I am so excited to be the TK teacher and know that we are going to have an amazing year! In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my family, friends, and dog. I love sports, going camping, and anything Disney and Harry Potter!
Mrs. Lisa Whitehouse , TK Enrichment Director
My name is Lisa Whitehouse and I am team-teaching the Transitional Kindergarten class. I began teaching preschool while attending college and continued for six years. I returned to teaching when my son (who is a Notre Dame graduate) entered college. This will be my fourth year working with the TK program here at Notre Dame.
I understand how important it is to give children the opportunity to develop and learn over a longer period of time before they enter kindergarten. . I look forward to creating an environment that allows the children to grow the social and emotional skills that are necessary to be successful students.
Mrs. Julie Denton , Tk Enrichment Teacher
I am Julie Denton. I was born and raised in rural Michigan. After college I moved to Vacaville and have called this home ever since.
My husband and I have been members of St. Joseph’s Parish since it’s inception. We have three adult daughters that went K-8 at Notre Dame.
I am entering my twentieth year of teaching and my sixth here at Notre Dame. I absolutely love working with young children and feel that it is my privilege to help them start the journey of life long learning.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family boating, hiking and riding bikes. I also enjoy reading and cooking!
