NDS Community Update: Week of December 2-6, 2024
Weekly Focus:
Assembly: 1st
Virtue: Joy
Scripture: Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Saint of the Week: St. Barbara
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
There is no school next week, November 25-29. I wish you and your family a
blessed Thanksgiving full of gratitude and love.
The Christmas program is rescheduled for December 5th at 6 p.m. at St. Mary’s.
Students are to be dressed in “Festive Christmas Attire, including skirts, slacks,
collared shirts, sweaters, dresses, etc. Jeans are acceptable; however, must be
dark in color and have no holes.
Please do not make left turns out of the parking lot during drop-off and pick-up
hours. This continues to be an issue and causes the drop-off line to become very
backed up. Kindly obey the posted sign. Thank you!
There is an NDS School Mass at St. Joseph on Sunday, December 8 at 12 noon.
No uniforms or free dress passes for this Mass.
FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
Our Hope Toy Drive
Our annual Our Hope Toy Drive begins on Monday, December 2nd. Your donations will
be delivered to children in the Child Life program at Sutter Hospital. I look forward to seeing our
gym hallway full of toys! Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Report Cards/Awards
Report cards will be available to view on FACTS on Friday, 11/22. Paper copies will also
be coming home with your student. Please use these as tools for your student’s learning and
reach out to your child’s teacher after the break with any concerns or questions.
The awards ceremony for grades 4-8 will take place on Monday, December 9th, after our
all-school Mass at 8:15 a.m. I anticipate the awards ceremony starting around 9:15 a.m. in the
small gym.

Thank you so much to everyone that was able to attend our November Dine & Donate at Panda Express.
We appreciate the time you take to support our school.
2024 Read-a-Thon
Our 5th annual Read-a-Thon is kicking off and will take place over Thanksgiving Break. This is a great
way to raise money for the school, while motivating your children to read over break. See the attached
flier for more information. A detailed letter, pledge form, and tracking sheet should be coming home with
your student(s). We have attached a digital copy as well.
Santa's Secret Shoppers
Our annual holiday shop is coming up! Students love this event where they can shop for little gifts for
family, friends, or even pets! We are currently seeking donations of handcrafted items. These items will
enable all children to participate in the event. If you have items to donate, please contact our chairs, Susy
Blasco (623)398-4918 or Jackie Peregrina (707) 689-6970. Items are needed by December 6th at 3pm.
Don’t forget donations go towards TTT!
